The RNYC Membership Application Form is programmed to calculate the cost of membership according to the information you provide in the form.
For Boating Members, you must provide the LOA (Length Overall) in decimal feet as well as the beam or width and select the weight range within which your boat falls. This data is used to calculate the Boating Fee, Berthage Fee, and other costs. Particular Boating Service Specifications including Berthage Category, Electrical Service, Mast Lift, and Cradle Transport requirements need also to be specified. If you are unsure which of these service options you will need or what berthage options are available, call the RNYC office. We will be more than happy to discuss how RNYC can accommodate your boating needs.
For Social and Corporate memberships there are no boat related costs and when either of these membership categories are selected the form clears and hides the boat-related fields leaving only the Membership Fee, HST, and Total fields active.
Once the required fields are filled and the form is signed, click the Submit button to send your completed form to the RNYC Manager’s email account. The Application review and approval process takes one to two weeks to process. You will be notified of your acceptance by email with a followup telephone confirmation. Where an Application is not accepted the payment is fully refunded by cheque or email transfer.
Online prepayment is done using the RNYC Paypal payment portal through the link provided on this page. Altenatively you can provide your Credit Card Authorization by telephone by calling the RNYC General Manager at (709) 834-5151.
PLEASE NOTE: Payment IN FULL must be received before the Application can be processed.
The Royal Newfoundland Yacht Club is a private boating club open for Boating, Social and Corporate membership. We welcome new members and offer a variety of services and benefits that are detailed on the Membership page. Membership fees depend upon the type of membership and for Boating Members, the size of boat and services required.
Membership in RNYC is by application and must include the signatures of two full members in good standing. If you do not know any Club members we invite you to contact the General Manager so we can arrange for an introductory meeting with our Membership Committee representative.
After an advertised period of at least 5 days, the Executive reviews the application at its next meeting. If there are no objections, the application is accepted when all fees are paid.
